ACTD - The Association for Ceramic Training and Development - is the National Training Organisation for the ceramic industry. Recognised by Government and subscribed to by companies from across the ceramic industry, it is the role of ACTD to identify training and skill needs of companies and employees within the ceramic industry and to ensure that they are met. At the same time ACTD is responsible for ensuring that the voice of the industry is heard at national level on all training issues affecting the ceramic industry. In order to ensure that the training needs of the industry are satisfied, ACTD has developed strategic partnership arrangements with the Ceramic Industry Forum, The British Ceramic Confederation, Learning Skills Councils, Small Business Service, the Department for Education and Employment, the Department of Trade and Industry, Regional Development Agencies, colleges, universities, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and other organisations and bodies. A wide range of advice and direct support is available to companies of all sizes and across all sectors of the ceramic industry to help companies and employees to meet the ever increasing demands of global markets. Never before has the training of our employees been more important, in order for companies to maintain and develop their competitive edge. We are here to help you, so please feel free to contact us at any time to take advantage of the assistance that's available to you. This website identifies some of the activities in which we are involved - but these are increasing annually as new needs are identified. |
